Custom Clothing Disclaimer & DTF Garment Care Guide
Thank you for choosing Patches by Anonymous!
All our custom clothing is produced using Direct-to-Film (DTF) transfers, which are professionally heat-pressed onto garments to create vibrant, detailed and durable designs.
To ensure your custom clothing remains in the best possible condition, please read the following information carefully.
1. DTF Printing Disclaimer
DTF transfers are applied to garments using heat and pressure. Although designed to withstand regular wear and washing, the lifespan of the design depends on how the garment is worn, washed, dried and maintained.
Please be aware:
DTF transfers are not indestructible and may eventually show signs of wear.
Cracking, peeling, fading or lifting can occur through improper washing, excessive heat, stretching or general wear and tear.
Colours may vary slightly from digital previews due to differences in screens, garment materials and printing processes.
Slight variations in print placement and alignment may occur as each garment is individually produced.
DTF designs may have a slightly raised texture, which is normal.
Repeated friction from tactical equipment, plate carriers, backpacks, belts and other accessories may cause premature wear to printed designs.
2. Garment Washing Instructions
To help protect your custom clothing:
Wait at least 48 hours after receiving your garment before its first wash.
Turn the garment inside out before washing.
Machine wash at 30°C maximum, provided the garment's own care label permits this.
Use a mild detergent.
Wash with similar colours.
Avoid bleach, harsh chemicals and fabric softeners.
Do not scrub, brush or aggressively rub the printed design.
Avoid overloading your washing machine.
3. Drying Instructions
Do not tumble dry.
Allow the garment to air dry naturally.
Keep the garment inside out when drying where practical.
Avoid placing garments directly on radiators or other heat sources.
Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, which may contribute to fading.
Do not wring or twist the printed area.
4. Ironing Instructions
Never iron directly onto a DTF transfer.
Turn the garment inside out before ironing.
Use a low-temperature setting only if permitted by the garment's care label.
Avoid applying direct heat or steam to the printed area.
Do not attempt to reheat or reapply a peeling transfer yourself without contacting us first.
5. Airsoft & Tactical Clothing
We understand that many of our customers wear their custom clothing during airsoft games, outdoor activities and tactical events.
Please be aware that:
Plate carriers, chest rigs and tactical belts may cause friction against printed areas.
Crawling, sliding and contact with rough surfaces may damage DTF transfers.
Mud, dirt, sweat and repeated washing can affect the lifespan of the garment and print.
Damage caused by abrasive equipment, excessive stretching or demanding physical activities is considered general wear and tear rather than an automatic manufacturing defect.
We recommend taking additional care when wearing printed garments beneath tactical equipment.
6. Custom Orders, Returns & Refunds
As many of our garments are produced to individual customer specifications, personalised clothing may not qualify for change-of-mind returns under applicable UK consumer cancellation rules.
However, your statutory consumer rights remain fully protected.
If your garment arrives faulty, damaged, incorrectly printed or not as described, please contact us with your order details and photographs of the issue.
Where a manufacturing fault or lack of conformity is established, we will provide the appropriate remedy in accordance with UK consumer law.
We cannot accept responsibility for damage resulting solely from misuse, accidental damage, incorrect care or ordinary wear and tear. This does not affect your statutory rights.
7. Print Longevity
DTF transfers can provide long-lasting results when correctly applied and properly cared for.
However, Patches by Anonymous cannot guarantee that printed designs will remain free from fading, cracking or deterioration indefinitely.
The longevity of a transfer will depend on factors including washing frequency, detergent, temperature, garment material, storage and everyday use.
8. Customer Responsibility
By purchasing custom clothing from Patches by Anonymous, customers acknowledge that they have been provided with the relevant care instructions and understand that incorrect garment care may shorten the lifespan of the printed design.
These instructions are intended to help maintain garment quality and do not limit or exclude any statutory consumer rights.
LOOK AFTER YOUR KIT. LOOK AFTER YOUR PRINT.
Your custom clothing has been made with care. A little extra attention when washing, drying and storing it can make a big difference to its lifespan.
